T.V. and Movies:
I am not into TV shows much, however I do enjoy BBC Merlin,
Gilmore Girls, Charmed, The Real Housewives of DC, Ghost
Hunters and I used to be a huge Steve Irwin fan better
known as the crocodile hunter and I was crushed when he
died suddenly. Martha Stewart and Cupcake Wars are fun
as well along with a few others I follow from time to
time.
I do not like movies that are too gross, scary or serious.
I do like movies such as sleepy hollow for something scary
and double jeopardy for something serious. I am very much
a big kid and enjoy cartoon movies like ice age, Disney
movies, shrek, polar express and so forth. I love reading
young adult novels and then seeing the movies that are
made from them such as harry potter, golden compass, spiderwick
chronicles, lord of the rings and so on.
I like funny movies such as Captain Ron, French Kiss,
Practical Magic, House Sitter and loads more. I also enjoy
fun adventure type movies like Indiana Jones and Jurassic
Park.
i like old classic movies such as Little Women, The Secret
Garden, A Little Princess, and The Girl. One of my all
time favorites is Bell, Book and Candle with Kim Novak.
I cannot stand sad sappy romantic movies like the notebook-blah,
If I want something along the romantic lines ill watch
a Jane Austen movie.
Books
I am a Jane Austen fan, One of my favorite books is
Emma and I love the BBC's take on this novel. I have been
to Jane Austen’s home in England and the museum
in bath. I enjoy books immensely but mostly listen to
them yet I still purchase books-makes no sense especially
when I wrote a book I suppose I just like listening to
stories. I especially enjoy young adult novels, Charlie
Bone, Harry Potter, Golden Compass, The Spider Wick Chronicles,
Ink Heart, a great and terrible beauty among so many others.
Music
I enjoy a variety of music including Jimmy Buffett,
Loreena Mckennit, Sarah Brightman, Tori Amos, Fiona Apple,
Enya, Delerium, blue stone, The Grateful Dead, Smashing
Pumpkins, Paul Simon, the beach boys, celtic women, Joni
Mitchell, Florance and the lung machine and much more.
I like modern opera or cross over classical like Charlotte
Church, Sarah Brightman, Celtic Women, Opera Babes, Haley
Westenra and so forth and I love to sing modern opera.
I do not like most rap and R&B but have a few songs
here and there that are tolerable, I do not like country
but same thing have a few songs that I can do. I cannot
stand disco music or elevator music. I was raised on oldies
and classical.
I love classical music and my favorite composer is Tchaikovsky
and I listen to this very often-and if you do not know
who this is listen to the nutcracker or watch Disney’s
Fantasia-which are also two of my favorite movies.
People I Admire
I always adored Tasha Tudor and thought I could live
like her-look her up and read her bio or better yet her
book, its short and amazing. Edith Holden was fairly interesting
too along with Beatrix Potter. I looked up to the ocean
artist Wyland since I was about 11 years old and I'm still
determined to do work with him one day. I also grew up
admiring Tori Amos and Sarah Brightman but Ii confess
I only like the old Tori I don’t get the last few
albums she came out with???
Alicia Silverstone-the green goddess. I adore her website
the kind life and all of her awesome ideas, recipes and
her way of life and what she stands for. I would love
to tag along with her one day visiting loads of great
veggie cafes, organic clothing stores etc.
And of course my close friends and family.
Travel & Wildlife
One of my favorite places to travel to is the Florida
Keys. Since I can remember I planned to grow up and become
a surfer not necessarily professional-mind you I never
surfed until I was about 22 but since I was maybe 10 I
was obsessed with the movie endless summer 1 and 2 and
every inch of my bedroom was covered with surfing posters!
I wanted to go away to surf camp every summer but at the
time there were no all girl camps and my parents would
not let me go to one with boys.
I wanted to be a marine biologist for many years but
then found out I could work with ocean life without the
degree. I love the ocean and to snorkel and immerse myself
into that world. I can swim for hours and hours just studying
each shell, rock and creature under water. I have little
fear towards wildlife but monkeys, bears and alligators
scare me a bit because I have a hard time reading there
personality- I hate ticks and chiggers and I rescue spiders
but they freak me out.
I want to swim with manatees, sea turtles, dolphins and
whales and plan to within the next year or so. I want
to get into a cage and watch great white sharks swimming
around me and I would love to spend months traveling all
over the world working with all sorts of animals land
and water.
I worked on the set of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows
for nearly two months outside of London England.
The Green Life
and Home Life
I enjoy herbs, spices and home made things or just pure
and raw things. I will not use makeup, hair care or any
product that tests on animals. READ YOUR LABELS! I also
limit my use of chemical ingredients and believe humans
horrible habits and convenient creations cause most of
the illnesses, diseases and cancers in the world. I live
in a historic tourist area that is filled with shops,
wineries, cafes, history and awesome decor around the
holidays- like living on a movie set where things are
always put very together.
I often (not always) shop at thrift stores for clothing-it
makes sense, cost less and is so much better for a greener
way of living. Most of my home was put together with used
items, Craig list, consignment shops etc. I will put photos
on my facebook and my green living journal.
Life and Other
Views
I am very hard headed and will not listen for long to
something I don’t agree with and will not change
my mind.
I believe in treating people as you would want to be treated.
Religion to me is the world around you, trees, water,
animals, the wind and so forth. The earth fascinates me
walking through sand, watching leaves fall or the way
long grass blows over rolling fields; I love the movie
contact and find it a religious moment me.
I think if there is a heaven or some kind of god it’s
in outer space somewhere. I used to believe if something
was meant to happen it would and just dream my life away
but have since figured out if you want something you need
to put the time and energy into whatever that is because
nobody else will do it for you and more times than not
things don’t just happen to those who wait, you
will find you just keep waiting. I used to be very naive
and fairly passive but as I’ve gotten older I find
myself to be more forward and direct. I had a friend once
tell me I reminded her of a Disney character.
A bad habit of mine is not trusting people, I tend to
think the worst is always going to happen and find I have
to train myself to have faith in people more. I think
hunting is evil and wearing fur clothes is just as evil.
I don’t wear leather.
I’m very OCD-I like things clean and organized
and like to do things a certain way and I don’t
like to compromise --much.
I like nice and elegant things but also love natural and
more laid back things.
I enjoy sailboats.
I can’t stand laziness or snobbery and believe you
create your own destiny.
I love to spoil the people I care about with presents
and surprises.
I love loads of colors and change my mind based on my
mood but an ocean blue-green along with soft dusty pinks
and smoky purples-are great, hence the colors on my website.
I love all seasons and immerse myself into each one.
I do not have any children but may one day-I do have 3
nieces and a nephew.
I have 2 brothers and no sisters.
I enjoy yoga in my free time and have a great teacher
for this
I live in a fantasy made up world in my head about half
of the time and like to control my surroundings.
I’m very close to my family.
I enjoy going to plays such as the phantom of the opera,
mamma mia, the nutcracker and Christmas carol. I enjoy
watching baseball games but I draw the line there on sports
I do like video games.
My art is very large and I have a hard time doing art
small.
I do not like to talk about religion or politics and I
hate when people bombard me about questions regarding
being vegetarian or my views on wildlife where I feel
like im being attacked and I can get pretty rude and forward
when I need to.
